Kol Dodi is a Jewish community choir, open to all, that enjoys artistic excellence. Founded in the fall of 1991 by Cantor Joel Caplan of Congregation Agudath Israel and Cantor Riki Lippitz of Oheb Shalom Congregation, Kol Dodi has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Zamir Foundation’s annual North American Jewish Choral Festival, and the Jerusalem Theater for the celebration of Jerusalem 3000. We are grateful to be sponsored by the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ.
Currently under the direction of Cantor Anna West Ott and Matthew Onigman, Kol Dodi delights audiences throughout the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area with stirring renditions of Jewish liturgical and popular pieces in Hebrew, English, Yiddish and Ladino, singing music from Israel, America, Europe, and beyond.
In carrying on the historic tradition of Jewish choral music, Kol Dodi frequently represents the MetroWest Jewish community at both Jewish and ecumenical gatherings, drawing high praise from many synagogue and interfaith audiences as well as professional musicians.
